agree that desert installation would be cheaper than ocean... but just thinking... how would the large single components (blades) get delivered??? I dont know if we have enough straight, flat roads to get us into the centre of Australia. Great dividing range, flinders range etc... which way would/could you come from? I know we have have 4mw blades delivered to Inverell... they are 74m long... but Haliade blades are 104m long... 30m extra complication when crossing the ranges.

The more I think about it... the more delivery/installation by boat may not be too complicated.
