Wasn't even a rumour, it was just a thought that sprang to mind when I first saw that statement by KDR about looking at options to be something more than just a mine.
All we know about the NMT situation is that they are looking for a site to build their refinery and the inference is that Mungari was preferred. They haven't stated otherwise since and haven't spoken about the refinery in their recent announcements.
So - purely speculation on my behalf given the situation of the two companies. Take it with a grain of salt the size of Earl Grey.
