I've held FCL for many years. The dividend yield is excellent, around 9-11 CPS at the moment, fully franked. Even though the share price has not appreciated dramatically in the time I've held it, overall it's been a great investment.
Until about 3 months ago. Why this is sinking like the Titanic is beyond me. If anything, I think the prospects now are better than they were 6 months ago. Fuel prices are not going to help, but food prices are up, they've retained their position in AA Co (a good thing in my view) and FCL mgmt often come up with fantastic investments or deals that spice up the P&L. The latest attempt (OPEL) failed, but without costing them too much. Seeing as it is now nearly 50% down from it's peak, it's a no-brainer.
I doubled my holding at $1.77, and I'm in stealth mode now - I won't be looking at the price again until it goes up!!
