Tremeer,
""Given Trevor's total package paid by VRC for last FY was $406, 808; I think he should be spending all his working hours on getting Bunyu into production and managing VRC.
Is this expectation fair?
I am interested in everyone's thoughts...particulalry Possum's thoughts.""
The question that you should be asking is whether Trevor's involvement in another company is impeding his ability to successfully manage the affairs of running Volt simultaneously.
That is a question only Trevor can answer. However I consider him to be a person of integrity and therefore I can only hope that if he thought his activities were being compromised by being involved in another company he would not have accepted the position with Victory Goldfields in the first place. Again, only Trevor knows the answer to that question..
In relation to what people earn is a subject that we can all debate. Personally I think all Directors are over paid. I also think that politicians who serve two terms and resign from that position and then get a pension of over $100,000 for the remainder of their lives is a disgrace.
I also believe that EPL soccer players are getting way too much money for kicking a soccer ball around a paddock. The average player is earning in excess of 12.5 million Australian dollars or 7.5 million British pounds if you prefer, annually . This is happening when billions of people in the world are facing hardship every single day, living in conditions that quite frankly are not acceptable.
My simple answer to the above is, it is what it is. We might not agree with it, but unfortunately we can't change it .
BUT, when one owns shares that are listed on the ASX everyone has a choice to either suck it up or take your investment money elsewhere. If you are not happy with the performance of the Director, you can choose to sell and move on. And yes, it might mean you will lose some of your original investment. But if you honestly do not have the confidence in the person who is in charge, how in gods name do you think you will ever recover lost monies by remaining as a shareholder. It's a question that should be addressed by each individual.
Not sure if I have answered your question to your satisfaction but that's how I see it Tremeer..
Cheers.
