So it would appear that Zelensky has had a change of heart and is now about to sign a deal with the U.S. giving them access to deposits of Ukraine's enormous critical mineral deposits placating the lunatic number one Putin fan club member Trump. Interesting though that it has been well publicised that the vast majority of these multi trillion dollar mineral reserve deposits are in the east of the country where Putin's meat grinder invaders are now triumphantly squatting. Might make developing the mines in those regions somewhat difficult in order to send the bounties that lay within over to the U.S. Without getting bogged down in the horrible humanitarian politics of Adolf Putin's invasion, I'll get back to our subject.
There is a fully operational, high value and quality deposit graphite mine way over to the south west of Ukraine which apart from electricity disruptions has been pretty much unaffected by the conflict. It is antiquated by modern mining standards as it is mainly all old Soviet era machinery however if Uncle Sam is going to be shown the welcome mat for a hefty ongoing share of the critical mineral assets that are proven to be in Ukraine and that graphite is very high on the list, it would seem that ZG would be a very easy starting point to satisfy their desire for high quality, easily accessible graphite one would think.
The EU has had ZG in their gaze for a while but so long as Russia continues with its murderous campaign, the EU has been in no hurry to dump a heap of Euros in order to stitch up ZG to satisfy their own hunger for natural graphite. That may change now. Given our geographic location, proven resource and operation status, we may come out winners either way. It would be nice to have something go in our favour for a change.
