future use case - roaming data wifi

All this talk on HC re Angus of a deal with a major telco.....

It got me thinking, with the announcement by telstra of their wifi nation project completion where all BigPond customers and each pay phone location now broadcasting a municipal wifi, it would potentially enable customers to have roaming coverage through operator across all platforms.

My other thought however, is that this may start to impact telstras ability to grow their high margin 4g mobiles business, so how these competing factors coexist will be the balance. However unlike say the oil majors that can shelve new ideas in perpetuity to maximise their exposure to oil, ICT is too fast moving so if you don't act, someone else will.

Needless to say however, in a market the size of telecommunications and with a tiny market cap, their is room for vonex to grow.
