As I understand it you have fibre to the building. Your router is for internet via ISP however it isn't going to talk to your smart building. Your wireless 4g enabled STB will tie everything together. Talks to the router, sensors, mobile phone, etc so you can control your smart building via your smartphone. This way you can take it with you if you move as well. Everything is going wireless however you then need security so this TV2 STB becomes a one stop shop that does it all backed up by TV2's technology. So getting one STB means you have the ability to have the complete smart home with entertainment, education,security,online health, energy monitoring, water monitoring, automation and the list goes on.
That's how I believe it will work IMO anyway.
