I have traded at all levels of time on many instruments and can tell you that all moves are normal and the difference is the experience versus your expectation.....remember that one generation of traders have only ever known an upward trajectory in stocks and as you know, very few have ever experienced a decline in real (inflation adjusted) real estate prices .....yet, they happen.....so what is normal? As Nick Radge would say "wait long anough and you'll see everything happen in the stock market" is there any reason that mlx couldnt become another posiedon stock? did anyone think the dow would lose like it has?
today, look at amp that has a p/e around 16 but a price to growth less than 1.0 (which is considered an extremely good buy on that ratio alone) but the prices are set by the biggest beast ......at some point someone is going to say "enough, is enough, we can't extract anymore from these absurd prices and it's time to get out" and like all jungles the big beasts decide which little beasts to eat first.....


so, the price of mlx is not set by valuation of a mine/minerals perse, rather, the future value of the share price itself......the largest traders mine price....their job is to know when to buy.....they know before you and i.....they have the best inside knowledge of data and opinion of metal values and forecasting growth/saleability of a buisness/leverage and who's got the best fiscal handshake etc .but, here's the important bit......they understand and see what you and i don;t; price flow.....they know when the mass buys a top and sells a bottom......guess who makes a top and who makes a bottom?
