At the risk of flogging a dead horse...Nat. Geo channel on Fox is running a series called Megastructures. I watched two yesterday..the first was about the 3rd largest suspension bridge in the world being built across the nYangtze...the amount of steel was mindblowing..the last line in the program stated that the chinese govt..had ordered 50 REPEAT 50 more of the bridges to be built across the river in the next 20yrs..the other was about the new deep sea port built 32 km offshore from Shanghai...this strucyure is about 1/3 completed and operational it will be 20km long when finished in 12yrs time...oh and the also simply built a 32km freeway across the ocean so the trucks cld deliver the cargo....they showed 1 of the worlds largest ships docking..the chinese unloaded 3000 containers and re-loaded 2000 in 20hrs of this 1 ship...when are people going to work this out...this is infrastructure spending..NOT elastic consumer driven (tho consumer spending was up 23%).
All you have to do is watch either/both these programs and you will witness the irrefutable proff of what u need to know...
