liquidating long positions in this kind of market makes no sense to me at all. a long position goes for years. normally 2-3 years of more. the correction won't last anywhere near that long.
medium and short term positions I can understand liquidating. but not long.
by short term I mean a few weeks to a few months. medium I refer to as a few months to maybe 18 months.
well .. they're the timescales I work by anyway.
like my dad ... he's had ANZ shares now for probably 8 years ... thats obviously a long position. i doubt he'd be worried in the slightest over this correction.
all in perspective.
