I will have to say that I think your opinion though is completely wrong, and this will be proved in the next 12 months. (of course this is my opinion).
I do agree that we will see unemployment increase a few % in the next 12-18 months.
I do agree that we will see housing prices become stagnant in over the next 12 months (in some areas)
But I feel that the market over the past 6 months have really pulled the wool over many investors eyes, and because of this, many investors have become overally bearish to the point they don't see the bottom.
Many of the stocks out there are IMHO significantly undervalued. With that said, there are many stocks on the market which have been sold down to levels in which they are now fair value. The stocks I refer to which I believe are significantly undervalued are the property (REIT) stocks which have more then likely been sold down by fundies because the variables don't meet their set of rules/guidelines when holding stock.
Anyway... Im just a punter, but I thought I would share a few thoughts.
