I would guess that PPI numbers put potential CPI range in more perspective and lots of bargain hunters feel that the sell-off has gone too far.
But volatility will very likely continue and we still have to get through end of financial year window-dressing and tax selling, so some careful postions might be taken with sensible stop-losses.
