Some economists expressed surprise at Wall Street's upbeat response to Bernanke's testimony, and puzzlement at his appraisal that inflation is moderating in light of the strong CPI reading.
"The stock market response is loony," FAO Economics chief economist Robert Brusca said.
"Inflation is NOT good news. The Fed trying to ignore it is even worse," he said.
