Of absolutely no concern to me nor should be to LYC holders - Siemens' business is their business... and Lynas' efforts in terms of compliance & safety are already well-progressed & transparent - Does she think that talking with Siemens will dissuade the relationship? I don't... for a minute.
Another triumph of ignorance over opportunity imho.
(Manchester used to have the highest rates of pollution-related & occupational illness for many years post the industrial revolution - and I mean REALLY nasty stuff - asbestosis, byssinosis, emphysema, TB, lead & mercury-in the water supply for decades etc etc...)
On the other hand she is an MP and is perfectly entitled to represent her constituents at their request & as she sees fit.
I hope that since Siemens are in attendance they will be able to express accurately the reasons why they're getting into bed with Lynas on the jv and emphasise the benefits that the LAMP will bring locally...
