Then again there is every chance that if the opposition do get in they would be wanting Lynas to stay for the obvious benifits. Politicians there, are like here. They will do whatever it takes to get in and then do what it takes to stay. After Lynas is operating, supplying jobs/money etc they would just have to make a few minor changes to their plant and they would be "accepted". Nationalising the plant wouldn't work and scrapping it would be shooting themselves in the foot
