Why dont manufacturers of FWD cars make engine removal easy. VW realised that by placing an engine in an inaccessable place needed easy engine removal for major engine/trans work.
Take an Alfa V6 FWD car for example, Just try to work on the either sides of the engine, its a nightmare. Its hours to replace the starter motor for example. With modern technology, surely its possible to to get rid of the haggish, improve the engine space and make R&M alot easier.
