"Strong" does not mean absolute strong. It just means relativ stronger than the other currencies.
As long as the USD is used by the majority of countries as reserve currency (and I'd say it will still take a handful of decades until this changes) - it will be a strong currency (one eyed in the land of the blind), no matter its inflation (as long as the others inflate as well).
Agree with your assessment of OGC's currency risks. They sell their product for USD (i.e. a strong currency) and their costs are partially in USD as well (for Haile) - no currency risk here, and the other mines are operated in countries with weaker currencies - i.e. little currency risk, but opportunity for currency gains.
Little currency risks for OGC I can see, but clearly potential for future currency gains.
