I disagree and I'm more than happy to see the sale. Fairfax isn't receiving a great benefit from having trademe as it isn't highly linked into their other business. If you want to go buy Trademe shares then you can go buy them directly. Fairfax had a market cap of around 1.2 billion. If there was a 20% (400 million dollar) wipe out in value over the sale of a 600 million dollar asset at the expected/market price then I think something is seriously wrong.
