I must admit that there some truth in what you are saying. That's why IPO's like FFT and Superjloop are Fundee / Insto darlings. Mind you hard to find sellers for stocks like IPH and these 2. Why. most of the float except the thread is locked up and even that spread is controlled by the broker to sell ( that's a condition to get a small allocation in some instances ) and no public offer what so ever. That's the recipe for super success.
