tamz - thanks for bringing me into the 21st. century on PAYG....been retired for quite a while now, and some things I've either known about and forgotten, or never new in the first place - its a bother .
it still does not change the fact though that company tax of 30% has to be deducted from NPBT in the financial statements (ie the PAYG would not be included in NPBT)
since underlying NPBT of $10m. is the figure given and from above comments it seems like 30% company tax would be taken off this figure to give a NPAT of approx. $7m
what I,ve been trying to get at is the underlying NPAT for calculating the pe. - so likely pe would be 68m. (market cap) /7 m. = 9.7
given that tax would be payable on the "underlying earnings"
