Recruitment firm Candle Australia Ltd (ASX:CND) reported a net profit of
$11.81 million for the year to June 30 2006, up 56 per cent on the prior
year.
Revenue was up 17pc to $270.33m.
Earnings per share was up 38pc to 24.4c.
A 9c dividend, fully franked, will be paid along with a special
dividend of 2c, bringing totals for the year to 19c.
The record date is September 8 and payment is September 15.

Outlook
"Our priorities for the year ahead will be further brand
consolidation, establishment of a shared services back office operation,
continued expansion of the front of house sales force, ongoing efficiency
improvements, and further geographic and lines of business
expansion while at the same time remaining financially strong," managing
director Robert Collins said.
"If the current level of demand for recruitment services
continues, the company is confident of further strong profit and EPS
growth over the next twelve months."

Results
Profit was ahead of that announced as guidance on 16 June 2006
and is the 23rd consecutive year of profit.
Earnings before Interest and Tax (EBIT) was $17.0 million, an
increase of 53pc.
"The 56pc lift in profits comes after similar growth last year
and is a testament to the efforts of Candle Australia's management team
and talented staff across Australia and New Zealand," Mr Collins said.
