Andre was asked during the quarterly presentation that with the hedges coming off in July and copper prices at the historical highs on whether he would hedge and he said he would but will need the board's backing.
Furthermore in an article appearing in Bloomberg yesterday, leveraged funds are expecting further gains in the Aussie dollar and US dollar weakening. So any rise in copper prices are in a way offset by the strengthening Aussie dollar. I too agree we should hedge some copper production on a quarterly basis.
