In the Hunter Valley, people in this area get to see and breathe in pollution from coal fired power stations supplying the state. I’d be happy to trade exhausts on cars to see spinning turbines that are only emitting electricity. Wanting cleaner air doesn’t make one a greenie, it’s just sensible.

On the aesthetics of wind turbines, I accept that they’re machines, and agree in a subjective way no natural landscape windfarm site is improved by them, but the benefits still easily outweigh the costs imo. So I objectively find them quite attractive.

Your info on the impending demand for copper was same prediction in a recent comsec podcast on copper outlook that lead me to AIS. It said electric cars use 5x the copper of ICE powered vehicles.
