On Monday, August 16, penny stock biotech Dimerix opened 70 per cent higher at 40¢ after being recommended by Next Investors in an e-mail to subscribers. The week earlier, Dimerix, as part of a capital raising, issued $20 million worth of new shares to institutional investors at 20¢ each to provide an instant $20 million paper profit when shares re-opened at 40¢.

As part of the raising, S3 Consortium was allotted 1.875 million shares at 20¢ each in a mirror image of this week’s Kuniko deal. In its email marketing that promoted Dimerix to retail investors, S3 Consortium discloses its ownership interest.
