Malsysian chinese has no conections to The chinese government.
Malaysia is made up of roughly 25%-30% chinese population who migrated to malaysia during the chinese civil war in the 20's.
Politically the native malays who make up over 60% of the pop holds power in Malaysia.
LYC holders shouldn't worrie about the situation in Malaysia. The government will do everything posible to hose down concerns or if not remove this from the media which they also control. They will do this because they want to ensure Malaysia's business friendly image is kept intact.
