It could well be an old video on that web page but they need to stop propagating the idea that a solar updraft tower can have trees growing under the canopy. Anyone who has done any thermo or fluid dynamics will tell you that the amount of energy generated will be reduced if the if the quality or speed of the airflow is impeded in any way.
