I see where you are coming from, but I think that is a misprint. I believe the stco exchane heading should have said "Turkish program extensive drilling BEGINS".

Amity are starting to wake up to the fact that if they say they are going to drill a well, they need to get on with it. This announcement shows they are doing that and the market responded accordingly.

Also, I disagree with your comment that the development drilling will not add much to the company's value. On the contrary, they are trying to delineate the boundaries of the Gocerler gas field. Each new development well is supposedly further away from the first find. It's basic geometry (for those who remember it) or 'join the dots' (for those who don't), but the further away from Gocerler 1 they get successful developement wells flowing gas, then the bigger the size of the field. One successful well say 1km down the road accounts for a huge increase in the volume in the discovery. Some success could, say, double the life of the well.

That would be worth some dosh, yes sirree.
