Back to substance: the slightly higher eps is ok, but needs to increase further for better dividend cover. Gem should and now with a finance savvy chair will hold divs until eps rises. Gem's main acquisition announcement so far was just in Nov15, so benefits wouldn't be felt until forthcoming half. The matket seems to be warming to gem again due to ok results and reliable dividends, but likely some resistance ahead in sp.
Did anyone else notice that on 10 Feb 98% (not a typo) of gem daily trades were short sales? Shorters basically set the stock price that day, but it was probably bad timing! That was the lowest recent s which is now up 10% from that low.
