There must be more accountability/verification/transparency from companies that are reliant on large amounts of tax payer funding.

Hopefully, Scott Morrison, as part of his July 2017 reforms, will appoint government auditors to verify the financial reporting, put forward by the large corporate childcare operators. Remember, the involvement of Ernst & Young in ABC Learning and the input of Dr Philip Ross. Commenting on the ABC debacle Dr Ross stated " ABC'S profits increased rapidly through acquisitions, which should have raised questions about the underlying valuation of assets it acquired - especially given that 70 per cent of its assets were intangibles. The inherent risk associated with the valuation of the assets was enormous and should have been a red flag."

More accountability will protect shareholders, children, families, staff and tax payers.
