The obvious comparison (for Quicksilver) is with Sirius Resources and the Nova discovery (nickel-copper) in 2012. It is VERY much early days still with Quicksilver, but the real potential is for a deeper fresh bedrock primary deposit. So far, "the nickel mineralisation appears to be found within the siliceous saprock at the base of the weathering profile" (typically ca. 20-75 m depth). That nickel has been sourced from somewhere, though, in the weathering process. It might be secondary enrichment (concentration) (like lateritic nickel) of lower-grade (possibly sub-economic) mineralisation. Or it could be from similar or stronger mineralisation in the underlying rock. If there IS significant deeper mineralisation, what's been found so far might be just the tip of the iceberg.

The geology may be very different, but just for a refresher:
The main Nova orebody is more than 250 metres deep. On the back of the Nova discovery, the Sirius market cap went from below $10mill to over $600mill. After proving-up Nova, Sirius was taken over by Independence Group for $1800mill.
