Do you mean Douglas is not good value as an investment for Genepharm compared to Lipa Pharmaceuticals or that Lipa a better investment than Genepharm period?
If you mean the former, then why didn't Genepharm make a bid for Lipa? Its Capex is $63 million. About what Genepharm is paying for Douglas. Possibly because Lipa is a tablet factory and Douglas is a drug distribution business. Genepharm doesn't need a factory but it could benefit substantially from a profitable distribution business.
If you mean the latter, that's an interesting one. Lipa is listed on the ASX, has a current share price of around 60c, a Div Yield of 12%, DPS of 7.2c/share, and 2 recent profit downgrades. Douglas is not listed on the ASX. It is an unlisted public company so the only way you could invest in it is to buy the whole company from Graeme Douglas and that it seems is what Genepharm is doing.
It seems you and Genepharm have a very different investment outlook, and that is understandable.
