Regarding Hallgarten's post RE Cabot. So Cabot own and operate a mine that produces over 80% of the pollucite used to produce cesium formate brine. Guess who else mines pollucite? Yep, Pioneer resources (asx.PIO). And yep, LPD was once upon a time interested in PIO's Lepidolite deposit at Pioneer Dome. So it seems as though Cabot control the cesium brine industry and pioneered the use of cesium brine in the oil drilling industry in 1999. Basically, Cabot own this market. If the Chinese now own Cabot, this could be very interesting.

So Pollucite is the main Cesium baring ore, and Cabot control the pollucite mines around the world. LPDs brine patent is almost certainly relating to Cesium. If LPD have a patent that allows it to produce Cesium brine from lepidolite, this is significant given that the industry is monopolized so significantly.
