Never a truer word was spoken i.e. "Only invest in what you understand" - Warren Buffett.
In this spirit, on May 11th, Galileo (GAL) announced the completion of six reverse circulation drillholes at Callisto targeting a mineralised sulphide unit on the contact between an ultramafic sill and package of sedimentary rocks.
An initial appraisal of the results from Callisto by GAL indicates similarities in mineralisation style to the Platreef deposits on the northern part of the Bushveld Complex in South Africa.
The Platreef deposits are very large and include palladium, platinum, gold, rhodium, copper, and nickel.
Importantly for CNJ and the MTJV, GAL's discovery at Callisto is only 200 metres from the northern boundary of tenement number R63/4, which is held by the MTJV.
An initial review indicates that GAL's discovery at Callisto may extend into tenement number R63/4 (strike length of 1.5 km) which is already supported by geophysics & lithology.
Despite extensive drilling in the Mt Thirsty resource area (which lies within tenement number R63/4), the prospective eastern margin, specifically where GAL's discovery at Callisto may extend into tenement number R63/4, remains largely untested, with only 3.5% of all holes drilled at Mt Thirsty penetrating deeper than 100 metres (GAL's Callisto discovery hole was from 144 metres downhole).
Given that the initial appraisal of the results from Callisto by GAL indicates similarities in mineralisation style to the Platreef deposits in South Africa, some of you might to pleased to know that in 2006 David Holwell (who is consulting to Conico and assisting TAJ), studied the Platreef deposits on the northern part of the Bushveld Complex in South Africa, and subsquently the wrote the following article titled:
"Petrology, geochemistry and the mechanisms determining the distribution of platinum-group element and base metal sulphide mineralisation in the Platreef at Overysel, northern Bushveld Complex, South Africa"
Here is a link to this article:

I would suggest that David Holwell will be extremely useful to Conico and to TAJ as they begin the task of assessing the potential of the largely untested and potentially highly prospective eastern margin of tenement R63/4, as well as commencing drilling there in ca. 6-8 weeks time and analysing the assay results thereafter etc..
Finally, CNJ's own Thomas Abraham James (TAJ) wrote a thesis titled: "Evolution and Mineralisation of the Bushveld Complex: Evidence from Ultramafic Pegmatites". Enough said.
It is therefore little wonder that both TAJ and David Holwell are extremely excited about the upcoming drilling campaign at Mt. Thirsty (eastern margin of tenement R63/4).
IMHO, CNJ finally have two experienced geos in exactly the right place at exactly the right time at Mt. Thirsty, and on the ground in East Greenland.
Please DYOR and: "Only invest in what you understand".
Cheers.
