I think we discussed this before.
IMO Li is still king for a long time; not sure it can be replaced because, from a chemical point of view, Li is the lightest (atomic mass) solid/alkali element. Lighter than Li is just Hydrogen and Helium
Other elements will not be able to compete with Li on the density of electrical charge/discharge; Na (sodium) it will be the next alkali element but it is more than 3 times heavier (as atomic mass); it could be considered in heavy/low cost applications (storage) but it is still a long way to go for the battery technology.
Going back to the "glass battery", this is the very early stage of scientific lab/proof of concept and I would say it is still a decade until volume production can be achieved.
And when going to production it might be launched first as Li version with higher energy/power density.
