I don't know if this has been shared here, but thought it deserved its own thread as it is very informative and I think it offers some great insight.
The video is 1 month old and you are able to set subtitles with auto translate to English.
It is a very good presentation and it gives me more confidence in hearing from the side of the world where the project is located despite the slight translation failures here and there.
They have indicted that the adjustments to produce battery grade lithium are only minor (good to know!)
Stage 2 will be a replication of stage 1, however they will implement improvements to that stage from what they learn from stage 1.
There is mention of updating the resource & reserves in the new year (which is now)
They are evaluating if they will drop the LPG and go all renewable (solar) for stage 1.
Stage 2 would be all renewable, and it seems the plans for using LPG will weigh on the logistics and how logistics will be managed overall.
Expansion of the camp has already commenced.
With regards to the delay in the project since the sale to POSCO... Basically it is explained that the plan to improve the process flow required a number of evaluations of all their tests which required work in the laboratory under ambient conditions, this also involved doing it at height (at SDV) and allow for certainty of being able to produce battery grade on site along with studies of environmental impact.
With regards to capital, the company has it so we are advancing towards construction.
Extraction of the lithium will not use any solvents.
