Catipillar are struggling to remain competitive in the equipment servicing sector. They are running at a loss in some areas just to maintain their parts contracts. Not sure there will be any change with trump in charge, unless he stiffens imports. Most parts are made outside of US, The US will lose major appeal very quickly as they are overpriced as is. No big news in mining scene for new equipment, there is a lot of surplus equipment around, although gold is reducing the surplus. The best investment IMO with mining equipment is automated driverless heavy vehicles.
