re: chinese run fish and chip shops. Sam...Iron Overload is exactly the opposite of Thalassaemia, a very dangerous blood disorder that afflicts (mainly) people from the Mediterranean region (I know people, Greeks who have died from it)......
Whereas Thalassaemia leads to severe Anaemia (Haemoglobin synthesis disorder), this thing , Iron Overload (Chemochromatosis, its scientific term) leads to the "production" and deposition of too much Iron......

You can get rid of it (excess iron) by phlebotomy.....(bleeding...)!
