re: chinese run fish and chip shops. Well...I am not sure whether Chemochromatosis can be a "good alternative" BUT it's definitely not as dangerous as Thalassaemia.....
It can be dangerous if the Iron levels go very high and can damage some of your organs (liver, heart, pancreas, kidneys etc).....
Eating raw seafood and meats can also be fatal in some (rare) cases.....
