I agree with you in principle there, but their rate of learning is a concern...you've alluded to the issue yourself via..
"Bringing in the Venturer is the right move"
You'd think they would've learnt something looking back to when they had to bring the "Proteus" in on the job...NO!, they go back to trying to use an inadequate local vessel for the job, 2 weeks later decide they need the "Venturer".
Very slow uptake!
