I'm fairly sure that the decision to release this news today is the operators, as well as the rig selection. The announcement stated that the decision to defer was made as the rig could not drill "optimal locations" and again decision would be the operators.
For once I am going to look on the brighter side, at least they can carry on with the other drill, with higher % of holding and maybe greater upside.
