The Wirecard playbook is still being used in Australia and rather than crackdown on it, the regulators seem to be allowing it with restricted banking licenses and the like.
The regulators do not even crack down on migrant banking or payments by migrants. They allow account opening for migrants or at least do not prohibit it and then Australians wonder why the banking and payments industry is regarded as an industry for pimps and prostitutes?
Just crazy. The Government does nothing about it and the immigration/ banking and financial services industries are all the poorer for it.
