The whole model of turning pubs and clubs into casinos is wrong. It's absurd that in a market saturated by gambling that the one organisation that can't be run profitably is the one designated for gambling. I've got no problem with a casino going broke. It is a problem if that's caused by organisations where gambling should be at most a peripheral element of their business (pubs and clubs) are run effectively as thousands of mini casinos rather than as social institutions. Providing a social environment for 50 people doesn't make as much money as providing an environment for 2 people to lose their life savings.
