Game of thrones progress, page-2

Mouse PI wish lists jumped a little since summer game fest showing, sitting at 932k, coming on 1mil. Both Asmongold and XQC both said “it looks interesting and cool” who collectively had 100k viewers live. Much more would watch afterwards as well, I think these types of guys playing the game at release would be massive. Play side seem to be taking the publishing side very seriously, I feel as if this is the game for play side to be able to prove to the market they can successfully do it and well.

No data on initial wish lists for Game of thrones: War for Westeros just yet, will be interesting to see. A quick search on google seems to have plenty of pages etc posting articles regarding the announcement, having "game of thrones" in the name will help.

The trailer put out on its own YouTube channel which has only 2k subscribers has 500k viewers, 900k on IGN, (for context Mouse PI teaser trailer 2 years ago has 3M views on IGN) comments seem to be received well, you can tell people are hesitant as gamers have been burnt before on games not matching the quality of the trailer. In this case especially, I think gameplay will be the key here once shown, a nice trailer is just that. (Halo 4 ☹). I can’t recall a good game of thrones game, which also seems to be the consensus of comments, so let’s hope play side can be the one to meet expectations.

Not sure if many know who XQC is, but I’ll quote him “Game of thrones RTS? We will be playing this” – he has quite a following and again, this type of streamer playing at all would be massive, its free advertisement and people buy what they play.

I've played a few total war games in my time which seems to be the type of game this will be, however more like Age of Empires though but with the similar type of Map setup as total war games. To be honest I would have liked it to be more like the total war games but that’s my preference. I think the reasoning to have it more like age of empires opens it up for them to push Multiplayer and get ongoing content outside of the campaign (very limited in multiplayer options for games like total war). They seem to already be pushing the multiplayer side of it, which is fair enough, (my mind goes to the success of age of empires 1 multiplayer) it’s where a lot of the money is, but for some reason makes me a little nervous, this type of game multiplayer can be very hit or miss.
