The answer to your question, if it is truly the case that the events of yesterday was not a pump-and-dump, is because Sentry does not depend on the signing of this JV for its survival. MHL, on the other hand, pretty much requires this JV to be signed in order to remain a going concern... otherwise bankruptcy is certainly on the cards. Hence, news about the JV being signed would be much more sensitive on MHL's SP than Sentry's SP, ceteris paribus.
