US actor Mark Ruffalo's wife recently received a $7500US bill for pneumonia diagnosis.
His families experience and the comments section are worth a read for anyone interested in some of the issues (especially the rigours involved in pneumonia diagnosis and treatment) facing US citizens entering the health system.
If only there was a substantially safer, quicker, more accurate and less expensive way to diagnose respiratory disease...
