check out those articles. its not been till today that i've actually bothered to do any real research on it, i've just relied on local radio news reports, company announcements and what i read on here.

but that above url takes you to an article, very pertinent.

it suggests that, companies making the vaccine and asked to increase production, may be given a 'guarantee' of sales, i.e. the government will underwrite the sales, so that even if the vaccines are not required, the government will step in and pay for the sales of the vaccines. Very noble of the governments and very unlike them, but I've a hunch there is a liability issue at stake here. what if there were required and not produced? who funds the health system? who gets sued? by how much and by how many people? when you have millions of people dying, thats enough to bring down the biggest of blue chips and even a government if there are legal proceedings of liability. I'm guessing they figure a couple billion spent could save money down the track if the worst does eventuate.

It also means there is no risk for BTA to expand, their revenues are literally underwritten. That is, assuming what those articles suggest is true.

Take note of how much the USA is understocked ... they only keep stocks to cover say 2% of their population, whereas other countries have gone for 20-40%. That leaves a massive short fall. Where will it be picked up .. therein lies the question and perhaps why BTA has the eye of a few investors and why GSK has increased in value so much.

As I said in earlier post, I do hold. Hoping to sell for at least $3 within a month, that will then very nicely pay for my honeymoon in december and cover christmas too.

okies, enough from me, i've done my bit to the contribution of the BTA discussion. i'm off to fry to beef sausages for dinner.
