It benefits them in that they have zero financial risk of their own.
Can anyone on here show me some deals that give me passive income without investing any of my own capital or effort (and we will exclude Centrelink). I suspect the real issue is that the passive income hasn't come quick enough and it isn't seen as being potentially big enough. Well we can all agree that it hasn't come quick enough...I wonder why. And we all know who has spent the cash so far, their own reps.
Perhaps it's time for the Martu to use their own $20M and float their own exploration company and exploit minerals on their own land. The only problem with that is if it goes tits up they don't have the taxpayer (ORIC) to bale them out!
