If we assume there are 2500 Martu and ex gate is $600 per ton and 400ktpa:

That, per Martu represents:
$400 cash
$260 heritage cash
6000 options
$1200 royalty income per year
Plus dividend income? $2400 per year (based on dividend of 40 cents)

For a family of 4 the potential annual income is $14400 per annum.

Of course this is communal money and it won't be spent this way. If you start giving people an income they have to pay tax and miss out on Centrelink.

To put the figures I posted into perspective:
Newcrest mined 525koz gold in 2013.
The royalty payments back in 2005 & 2006 were $512k and $473k respectively. I think I saw more recent royalties around $800k.
That's around $200-300 per Martu.
The RWD deal is significantly more attractive than the pre-determination situation with Newcrest.
You have to wonder why there isn't more noise about this.
