Here's yesterdays media release from ACPET; this is the private RTO's organisation, whose members provide assurance for each other students. They are fiercesome in their support of the private RTO provider model so very significant that they seem to have had a gutful of this rubbish.

Vocational Education Minister Scott Ryan has pledged to “aggressively” defend Phoenix Institute students following revelations the owner of the controversial college had received legal advice it could pursue them for $300 million in course fees.


I decode this to mean that if ACO choose to pursue students for loans established through VET Fee HELP then the government will ramp up ACCC action. Afterall no AAT hearing can overcome the fact that the national regulator determined the RTO was in breach of conditions of registration at the relevant times; therefore any contract for service is almost certainly able to be declared null and void.

Surely time for these shysters to pull down their signs and depart.
