MP2, no, they do not have to tell the shareholders anything. Their duty is to the secured creditor that appointed them, although they are not allowed to do a fire sale if that gets the sec cred off the hook and to hell with the other creditors (and shareholders). It is still up to the directors to keep the shareholders informed. The directors can still post ASX announcements, I believe, even though it is suspended - but they'd have to do it out of their own pockets as the company is now run totally by the receiver.
